My daughter found cubical ottomans with reversible tops. One side is padded for feet; the other is a wooden tray. Inside, she keeps the extra pillows and blankets for the couch.
I’ve been spending lots of money and time reorganizing every room, closet,bureau drawers etc etc. While the containers look nice….they do take up more room then when you just throw everything in the same drawer. Two big problems that I have is , after I watch the videos on putting pieces together to get something bigger and more useful…I get in the store and forget what I’m suppose to buy and how to do it. Also I noticed when I rearrange everything…I then don’t know where anything is located. I laugh because I don’t have a clue. It does look nicer.

Did the cart come with the peg board on it, or did you have to buy it separately? Or is that something you made yourself? Either way, it’s genius and I can’t wait to try it for my kids “art studio” aka coloring desk that is constantly mounded with paper, crayons, and craft clutter. 😬 9:34

Last year was my year for decluttering. This year has been my time to learn how to diy and install a bunch of wall storage (magazine wracks, floating shelves, etc). I’m a visual organiser, apparently, so my house is so much tidier as a result. The sight of my stuff on the walls, doubling up as decoration, makes me heart happy.
5:00 No please don’t turn that into a "coffee table" by putting a tray on it. Get an actual table with storage under it. No one is going to tell you because they want to be polite, but it’s annoying af.

We have the cheaper over-door thing on the outside of the coat closet just inside the front door. Now coats (and backpacks / purses) actually get hung up.
I love alot of what IKEA sells based on what I see in videos online although I have never been there. They have terrible unethical practices logging in forests that they have been told to not be in. They do it anyway. On Netflix, there is a documentary show and they did an episode on IKEA and tell you all about them. Not fond of them at all. Amazon has some terrible practices too. Good ideas!!
Cass I don’t drive and I’m 68 and I live in limerick in ireland. I haven’t a hope in hell of getting all that stuff. And if I was lucky enough to get them. I have nowhere to put them. For God’s sake Cass. I don’t have a garage, I don’t even have a garden. I only have two tiny rooms upstairs. It would be nice if you did a video for tiny places. With very little storage😊

Living in an apartment, I have S-hooks for my pans on the kitchen cabinet doors. A shelf over my bedroom door, command hooks on the back of the front door and bathroom door.

What did you use to make the labels on those square wicker baskets? The ones that snapped over the top edge.
I have storage problems in my studio apartment and I have never thought about using the back of the door for storage.
My apartment isn’t big, but I’ve realized I don’t need more storage. I need more space so that my kids live in different rooms. Unfortunately, I can’t do it until I buy a new place 😅
When I replaced my bed I looked for/bought one that had 13 inches of clearance underneath. No risers needed.
In Australia we have The Reject Store, I buy over the door which has 4 hooks, all my coat’s on one & in laundry I put my 2 laundry baskets so cool

I have a king side bed and wish I could get risers. For some reason the frame has multiple wood pieces to support the middle of the bed. 😢
For my kids, we got captains beds with shelf-style headboards. Eliminates their need for a dresser and they can keep their favourite stuffies and books close at hand on the shelves for their bedtime.
The question is for how long we keep those stuffs, make us sometimes frustated?😊

Cass has great ideas for people.. but I’ll be shoving nothing under my bed lol.. I’m 60 years old and don’t get on the floor easily. Besides, I can pass a mop quickly under my bed when I clean if I have nothing under it. Anyway, that’s me tho. I just don’t like anything under the bed. With that being said; Cass, you’re great!

Problem with those vacuum bags is that they gradually take on air again!🙁
I use empty pill bottles or the tiny containers for travel. They work great for ear phones, qtips, jewelry, ear plugs, etc.
Let me ask you a question why does Joe’s close have to be stored underneath the bed.
I hope you have your clothes under the bed too not just a man’s clothing.
It looks like you have a pretty good size closet behind you why can’t the both have you used the closet and share the address so you have beside your bed that would be the optical solution you shouldn’t automatically shove your husband’s clothes underneath the bed.
You need to share the extra space for storage for your husband’s clothing stop having him store his clothing underneath the bed it’s not fair to him at all.
I love everything Elfa, well-worth the price for quality, durability and versatility. Storing things under the bed is a no for me, although I can appreciate that some homes are very short on storage.
I had a very large home and I’ve had to down size sadly I now have three rooms and a shed I’ve just put longer legs on my bed and I can now work around my bed with out feeling like I could trip over something
